Dave Pierce
JJ's Blues in San Jose (on Steven's Creek across the street from Guitar Center) just got a C2 in supposedly A-1 condition. I'm heading down there right now to check it out. Unless some other keyboard player has beat me to it, I'll sit in with the house band tonight. --Dave Make my funk the P-funk. Dave Pierce
Don't have much time to write -- So they got an absolutely pristine C2 from an old lady's house. The claim is she bought it new and it sat in her living room since 1957. It certainly plays like that is true. No Leslie though. Johnny says he's working on getting a Leslie. I suspect I'll be spending a lot more time at the jams down there. --Dave Make my funk the P-funk. I wants to get funked up. Michelle ggurl
Dave, are you jammin' at JJs fairly regulary now? Ricochet
If she bought it new in 1957 I hope she got a great deal on it, because the C-3 had been out for a year or two by then. "A cheerful heart is good medicine."

But now that there's a Hammond at JJ's, I'll probably be there a lot. We should meet up over there one day and rip that thing up a little! Michelle ggurl
Yeah, well, my Hammond chops are pretty lame, considering I've had a chance to play on a real one, what 3 times?? Still, we can trade off playing Gregg Rolie/Santana solos. Original Latin Jazz CD Baby "I am not certain how original my contribution to music is as I am obviously an amateur." As nice as the Nord Electro is, that top octave just isn't the same. --Dave Make my funk the P-funk. I wants to get funked up.
