Les Mizzell
For anyone familiar with the works of Rick van der Linden and Ekseption, I just saw this notice at his website. He was famous for his keyboard pyrotechnics and rock interpretations of classical works - before Emerson! He was one of the early GX1 owners. "Keyboardist Rick van der Linden in critical condition. November 22nd: We regret to inform everyone that Rick has suffered a great set back with his health. He has had two major strokes over this past weekend and is currently in critical care in hospital with his left side paralysedand unable to speak. We'll keep you informed on his progress. Update November 30th: Ricks situatation is becoming more and more bleak. His moments of awareness are bcoming less frequent, his body is failing him. The doctors believe he will have only a few more days remaining and give little hope for recovery." Odyssian
Man, that's terrible news. I really like Rick Van Der Linden's band Trace. The album Birds is great. Would you happen to have a link to where you got the info from?

fisheye
Very tragic news. The record "ekseption 3" is just brilliant. B3, clavichord, ARP synth, clavinet, you name it and he played it. And no easy stuff. Thanks for the news and the link.
