rockfan
I posted some pics I took of Gregg Rolie. He came to TX a few years ago. He played the Santana classics. It was a great concert. That Hammond sounded beautiful. I hope the link works. http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/chachaditto/my_photos
MikeT156
Rockfan: Thanks for the link, it worked fine. Greg looks great for an "old guy". I saw him when he was in the original Santana back in the late sixties. What a band, those guys layed it down. Rock with the Latin flare was new to most of us then, and they were a big influence on rock music. Greg knew how to play that B3. Cheers, Mike T. ITGITC
Oye Como Va! Thanks for the pictures, Mr. Rockfan. I didn't know the full story until I read Gregg's bio LINK HERE . Gregg Rolie is responsible for co-founding two phenomenally popular, multi-platinum many times over super groups... SANTANA and JOURNEY. Very cool. Dave Pierce
I saw him at Slim's in SF around this same time frame. But, he had a chopped Hammond. He's one of my all-time favs, for sure. But then, I (try to) cover his stuff in a Santana Tribute Band, so I guess that goes without saying. --Dave Make my funk the P-funk. I wants to get funked up.
