RangerJay Posted January 5, 2003 Posted January 5, 2003 Well, I got this "teaser" email from Cakewalk today, saying that, "there's something new and special coming soon -- stay tuned!" I'm somewhat intrigued... Then, as a subscriber, I get the latest copy of EQ, there's an article from our fearless leader of this forum, talking about "Project5." It looks a lot like Cakewalk's answer to Reason. Looks cool. Cakewalk has been kicking ass, of late, and this looks promising. If you are into the "studio in one application" kind of thing. Now that the cat is out of the bag, perhaps someone named "Craig" can tell us more, without violating his NDA...

Philip OKeefe Posted January 5, 2003 Posted January 5, 2003 You're a day or two late - I posted a request for "insider info" about that Cakewalk email a day or two ago. ;) But "Project 5" does sound interesting. I wonder if that's what the email was referring to.
Sylver Posted January 5, 2003 Posted January 5, 2003 I wonder if current customers will get a break on it. Most likely we will, it's thier MO. I really don't know what to put here.
Anderton Posted January 5, 2003 Posted January 5, 2003 <> Read all about it in the Project5 First Look in the January 2003 issue of EQ, at your newsstands now. That bug we had installed in the Cakewalk conference room is really paying off! Basically, it's their answer to Reason, but it's also a bitchin' synth rack for Sonar users thanks to the ReWire compatibility...does ASIO, too!
