Saekwolth
Hi! I'm interested in a Roland V-Combo, but when I search it at the web, I find to versions: V-Combo and VR-760. Can anyone tell me the differences between them? Thank you! Somewhere deep inside of these bones, an emptyness began to grew.
David Loving
I thought they were the same thing. "Forget it, Jake. It's Chinatown."
RABid
On the RolandUS site it is a bit confusing. Following the links to organs, and then to combo leads you to the VK-8 family of organ emulators. If you go to the pianos section and follow the link to combo then you find the VR-760 on a page titled Stage Pianos, V-Combo. This post edited for speling. b3keys
They are one in the same. The board was originally named the VR-760. In order to play off of the "strengths" of the instrument: VK organ, SRX expansion, piano sounds, the name was changed to V-Combo.
Jon Doe
The photo on the Roland site is of the first model. It had "VR-760" printed on the top, and "V-Combo" printed on the backplane. Mine is the later model which says "V-Combo" on the top, and "VR-760" on the backplane. No signature required.
