Can you tell us a bit more about what you're trying to do/what kind of music you're looking to make?

What (if anything) have you got in mind for a controller?

Is that powerbook running classic or OS X?

OS X will be pretty slow on a G3 powerbook, me thinks. Check your extension sets before you hit the stage with a powerbook running classic.

I saw a friend of mine lately working with Ableton Live. It's like a live sequencer and you can control about everything just by some masterkeyboard key commands that you assigned. It's freakin' awesome!

  • 4 weeks later...

sorry for the enormous delay!

i have a qs8 as my main controller, and im planning to buy a small 61-notes controller too. what i really need is:

a nice grand piano sound;

a nice rhodes sound;

some minimoogish sounds too.

i play mostly instrumental music when i play live.

my powerbook has both classic and os x, and its not that slow. i have no problem working with os 9.

thanks again!
