BForrester
Anyone have any effective grand piano mic techniques for a live situation? I'm looking for a way to get quality sound but somehow keeping the sound of the rest of the band out of the piano mic's. I've tried large diaphragm condensors and they sound great, but they pick up everything in close proximity because we can't close the lid with them in there. I've tried some PZM's and they sound horrible. Other than some form of gobo or acoustical shielding I'm stumped, any ideas?
