PaulSchwarz
Hello, is anyone using these 20 amp monitors for keyboard or digital piano usage. I have a p80 and wondered if anyone has any thoughts on these monitors. Home use. Thanks !!
Dan O
Paul , The MSP3's distort a little when you turn them up or hit the low end of the P80 . IMHO you may want to try a pair of powered M AUDIO SP5B's for around $300.00 . dano www.esnips.com/web/SongsfromDanO
PaulSchwarz
Dano, Funny you say that I purchased those SP-5b but took them back. I had a few keys that rang in my ears through those. I didn't know if it was the samples on the keyboard or the speakers.
Dan O
Had to be the sample . Did you buy the MSP3's ? How do they sound ? www.esnips.com/web/SongsfromDanO
PaulSchwarz
No, I didn't buy them yet. I've heard them, but it's really hard to tell what they will sound like at home. my p80 on the grand piano sample (variation) .. b flat 5 rang out like a harp. I use that key alot. I don't hear it in my head phones or if I run it through my home stereo(which sounds like crap). I don't know if the M-audio's were just toooo sensitive ? Other than that they were great sounding.
