joegerardi
Dave and a few others here praise the OB-5 organ so much I started getting interested in one, but like everyone else here, I've been having trouble finding info on them. I figured I'd go right to the horse's mouth, and rustling up my best Italian from my youth, I e-mailed Viscount in Italy. They replied that they forwarded my mail to the American distributor (I didn't even know they had one!) and today I got a mail from them. I'm posting a copy of it here, so everyone can see what they say about the OB-5 organ. It is probably the least expensive 2-manual B3 wannabe out there, and Dave has said that they sound and feel fantastic. At this price, I might have to take the plunge! Dear Mr. Gerardi, My name is Corey Allen and I'm handling the OB series for Viscount in the US. Enzo Tabone forwarded your e:mail to me. Thanks for your interest in the OB series. What you've heard is true - the whole DB series is great and it's priced right. The wholesale on the DB3 module is $595, the DB3 61-note keyboard is $895 and the two-manual OB5 is $1695. There are also pedalboards and stands available: the 25-note pedalboard w/exp. pedal is $595 the 17-note pedalboard is $145 the 13-note pedalboard is $105 the DB5's wooden stand is $375 I'm attaching a "Word" file with some more information for you to look at. If you have any other questions or would like to order, please contact me at this e:mail address or by phone at (617) 828-8708. Thanks again for your interest and I look forward to speaking with you. Regards, Corey Allen coreymuse@earthlink.net One other thing: Here's a large pic of the puppy: http://www.jazztet.de/english/main/reviews/ob5.jpg [ 01-29-2002: Message edited by: joegerardi ] Setup: Korg Kronos 61, Roland XV-88, Korg Triton-Rack, Motif-Rack, Korg N1r, Alesis QSR, Roland M-GS64 Yamaha KX-88, KX76, Roland Super-JX, E-Mu Longboard 61, Kawai K1II, Kawai K4. I figured I'd go right to the horse's mouth, I used to think I was Libertarian. Until I saw their platform; now I know I'm no more Libertarian than I am RepubliCrat or neoCON or Liberal or Socialist. This ain't no track meet; this is football.
