Goldberg
Ok, you know in Smashmouth's I'm a Believer song at the beginning and a few times in the middle that kind of leadsy sound is used in that very simple melody (I don't know the notes but it starts low and then jumps high and comes down for everyone who doesn't know what I'm talking about because I'm not being clear-but it's a pretty obvious sound). Anyway, the inevitable question:anyone know what synth they used for that? I'd be interested to find out more about it and what else it can do. jimbyjoe
striker, in the clip the keyboardist is using a roland vk-77 organ. i don't know what drawbar setting her used. we discussed this in a forum a few weeks ago with starfucker. the original monkee's version had a vox continental in it. i may be wrong. oh - here's the link: the monkee\'s! enjoy. pray for peace, kendall "Consider how much coffee you're drinking - it's probably not enough." Cowfingers
well if you got a drawbar organ, the best settings i can get to emulate the original at the moment are 80402008. on a side note i played this the other night at a gig and the crowd went bloody wild (pretty good for such a shit-easy song..) goodluck -starfucker Visit my band : www.neonfleacircus.net or www.myspace.com/neonfleacircus
