i really dig AUDIOSLAVE

Recommended Posts

i heard the COCHISE song on MTV while flipping channels. it was a coincedence i flipped just when they were playing it. i thought the music sounded like "rage against the machine with chris cornell singing". i actually liked the song, which scares me because it was on mtv and i HATE mtv. so i did some internet research and found out all about AUDIOSLAVE. it IS chris cornell AND RATM. WOW. this band is great. very talented. in fact overflowing with talent. i cant see how this band will make it. even if a few people like the band, they have to explode simply because they are all so good. to much talent. to many great bands explode because they dont get along. the cd comes out in two weeks, i am going to buy it, however i dont understand how i downloaded both the video AND the mp3 if the album isnt out yet?

From what I understand, Audioslave was practically over before it started. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think Chris Cornel left the "band" right after the tracking on the album was complete. No tour, no new albums, etc...
None more black.

Rog, yes that's true, but it turned out the main differences between Cornell and Rage were to do with their managers. They regrouped with a new manager and everything's cool now, apparently. I haven't heard anything off the new record yet but I wanna! I'm psyched, thanks for posting the thumbs up, Cereal!

I have heard the whole thing. The single is low on "The best songs off this disc" list. Here's their official website: Audioslave The album comes out Nov.19th and even though I have the entire thing bootlegged, I am still gonna buy it when it comes out. It seems the bootleg that was flying around the net was an unfinished copy. It sounds to me like it was in the backing-vox stage. Completely un-mixed/un-mastered. I cant wait to contrast and compare! I see this band being the first of the new generation of "Supergroups". Remember those?

this is *not* bashing so please understand... i  RATM&soundgarden BUT this tune they're pushin sounds (to me) too much like zep's 'whole lotta love'. i think its in the same key and even the riff incorporates that grand ol' riff from the original which was probably stolen from big bill broonzy or homesick james er somebody. insert "YOUNEEEED SKOOOOLIN" after the first guitar riff and maybe then it will hit ya. jus' my two centavos s

I have to agree with Stanner. That first single sucked. The first time I heard it, it was on the radio. I thought it was 70s unknown rock band that didn't have the juice to cut it. I'm glad the DuhDuh stated it's one of the least favs on the album. I'm going to pick it up. Chris Cornell is one of my favorite rock vocalist, and Rage kicks ASS. Lincoln Ross Dead Black Jedis

I love the irony of the name. Along the same lines as "TOOL". I can't wait to hear the whole album. I turn on the radio and I'm hearing Kurt Cobain and Chris Cornell, feels like I'm in junior high again. Hopefully this signals a renaissance in music.
