dansouth
Digital or analog? For your onstage rack or for mixing in the studio? What mixing board suits you and your music best?
Dave Bryce
I really like my X2. Yeah, it has problems, but the mic pres and EQs are sweet, and the layout works for me. I have yet to be sold on the digital mixer thing - I like having dedicated knobs. I can't imagine anything more frustrating than not being able to instantly grab an EQ knob or fx send, or not knowing if you're not getting signal because you missed something on some page of some menu somewhere as opposed to looking down to see if you forgot to press a button. ...or, in the X2's case, because the channel is out... http://www.musicplayer.com/ubb/eek.gifhttp://www.musicplayer.com/ubb/wink.gifhttp://www.musicplayer.com/ubb/rolleyes.gif YMMV, dB ==> David Bryce Music • Funky Young Monks <==

It's amazing what you can accomplish with a good digital mixer, and total recall has been a incredible timesaver. Then again, if someone wanted to trade their Neve 8068 for my pair of AW4416's, I'd PROBABLY ( http://www.musicplayer.com/ubb/smile.gif ) take them up on it.... http://www.musicplayer.com/ubb/biggrin.gif Phil O'Keefe Sound Sanctuary Recording Riverside CA http://members.aol.com/ssanctuary/index.html email: pokeefe777@msn.com
