Midiman..8X8Midisport USB..

Hey guys..

I've been using my Midisport 8X8 for my dedicated gigastudio setup..

Done through the USB on a P.C..

I noticed that it was a bit slow as I was sending my 2 keyboard controllers through a serial port MOTU midi timepiece..

It was too slow so I plugged the keyboards direct to the midisport..

Soooo much more responsive.. But I accidentally shut the midisport off while gigastudio was running...

Now I've lost all the drivers (for the USB) and the midisport won't even respond with nothing hooked up to it..

All 16 midi lights are lit as is the 4 mode lights..

Am I missing a simple reset??

I held down the midi reset as I powered up.. Tried the modes..

Nothing responds at all..

I've rebooted the puter several times with Usb plugged in and out..

Any idea's?????

Don't ya just love tech.....

Thanx..

Brian

This might help.

Overview:

My MIDI Sport 2X2 used to go down and refuse to do anything when my laptop went into sleep mode.

Solution:

I've had to go into the the "Unplug/Eject hardware screen" and stop the MIDI Sport service and then re-boot the computer to re-initialize the MIDI Sport.

Details:

I'm running Win 2K Pro/Home Studio 2002

The "Unplug/Eject hardware" icon is usually on the task bar by the time.
