Bucktunes
I'm sure I speak for many here when I say that I'm disappointed and somewhat frustrated that Big Briar wouldn't display a working Minimoog Voyager at the NAMM show last week. I can't believe that after all the hype that we couldn't at least hear a working prototype, even though they went to the trouble of building models of the collector versions. But none of them make sound?! What's going on? Have they not perfected it yet? I'm sure Dr. Moog will eventually come through and release it once it's finished, but I'm sorry, I'm not about to commit $3K to an instrument I've never heard. If someone like Jan Hammer (or Dave Bryce http://www.musicplayer.com/ubb/biggrin.gif ) were to give it a big thumbs up, I'd probably buy it on blind faith. But I'd still like to actually PLAY one before I felt good about buying. Bottom line- I want one of these so bad I can almost taste it, and I'm really hoping it'll be as good as I can imagine it being. Anyone know when we might hear one? Dave, did Bob tell you anything you can pass on? Peace all, Steve ><> Steve

The Big Briar folks said that the reason that they weren't working was because the analog section and the digital section weren't speraking to each other yet, but they didn't see any reason why they shouldn't be ready to go in a few months. I will be extraordinarily surprised if this thing doesn't kick complete butt. I have a couple of Big Briar products - they rule. Besides - Bob Moog designed it...what did he ever produce that didn't have huevos the size of Texas? http://www.musicplayer.com/ubb/wink.gif dB ==> David Bryce Music • Funky Young Monks <==

Thanx! http://www.musicplayer.com/ubb/smile.gif And I agree Bob wouldn't bother putting it out if it wasn't a monster. I'm just anxious to play it!
