demitch
Hey guys...wassup?..I'm interested in learning some bass playing techniques using the various bass sounds on my keyboard. Can anyone recommend any type of source material (books, videos,Cd's) that would get me going in this direction? Thanks, Dave M
Jg42
I recommend playing a real bass for a couple of months... No, I'm serious! http://www.musicplayer.com/ubb/smile.gif If You play some instrument (or at lest know how it's played) it's much easier to imitate it with MIDI and keyboards... ------------------ Cheers, Arseny http://www.mp3.com/arseny This message has been edited by arsenius@hotmail.com on 07-20-2001 at 02:15 AM

b3fiend
I use bass sounds with a velocity-triggered 'snap'. The harder I play a certain note, the louder the snap. Very convincing, but you need to know what notes and styles to play, and what to accent. I usually lay down a basic idea and mood for a song, and let a real bass player take it from there for a final recording. -Gregg
