toomas
Hey! I have just bought a new PC: AMD Athlon Thunderbird 1,2GHZ, 266FSB 256SDRAM PC 133 MATSONIC MS8127+266 VIA Apollo Kt133 Socket A Deskstar 75GXP 46,1GB 7200RP IDE Audiowerk Im running Windows 98SE. After i bought my PC i found out that VIA chipset are not good for music mainly because the compatibly problems with some soundcards. The effect is clicks, pops and crackles etc. in your audio playback or in recordings. Is this with Audiowerk 2 soundcard too? Im running Logic 4.5 but havent got the change to test my PC fully yet. I thought this problem was with the old VIA chipset and not with the new VIA chipset. Is there anything i can do if i got the same problem like upgrade BIOS or run the "4 in 1 driver" that comes with my mainboard CD? Please help me Regards Toomas
Jg42
I couldn't make my VIA-based ASUS P3V4X work well with audio - clicks and pops were everywhere, so I just switched back to my Intel 440BX-based motherboard and everything is working fine now... ------------------ Cheers, Arseny http://www.mp3.com/arseny
