Sharon
Hi there I wanted to ask if you had the option to add some unit or card to some synth, samplers that you love and use on most of you recording. What it will be? For me its Yamaha AN1x I just love this synth sound, but unfortunately this 8 knob thing wasn't a good idea in my opinion. So I wish that some company will make hardware unit with lots of knob of this synth, like the one that Access made for Matrix 1000. Or I wish Yamaha will make AN6x with the same engine but with all knobs http://www.musicplayer.com/ubb/smile.gif in AN1x range price ..well a bit more ..1$ for each knob http://www.musicplayer.com/ubb/smile.gif I know that there a software editor but I like have the real knob in you hands. I fully agree with you, Sharon. I think the AN1x was one of the better sounding VA synths, but its interface really turned me off as well. I also agree that they'd be somewhat successful with a version with a more conventional knob-laden interface. I'm guessing that they're probably not gonna, though - they're just building it in to other stuff now, as I'm sure that you know. Too bad, huh? dB ==> David Bryce Music • Funky Young Monks <== Professional Affiliations: Royer Labs • Music Player Network

The motif got me by surprise. I wasn't expecting them to release a full blown workstation. I'm planning to get the plug in card with one of the midi slider boxes.. I'll let people know as soon as I do. dansouth
Well, I WISH that Yamaha would release plug in cards that aren't limited versions of their synths. I'd hesitate to buy their cards, because the designs have a lot of compromises. Why can't they build a card with a two-voice VL synth, for instance? Sharon
I think it will cost to much and users will prefer to buy the real thing.
