b_3guy
I find it interesting that the pro keyboards are starting to meet the personal keyboards & its starting to show up in the form of the RS series & other new boards. Professional sounds with really good auto accompaniment. Steve www.seagullphotodesign.com
Stephen Fortner
I'd use the RS-9 as a lightweight 88-key controller, with some sounds in it to boot.. pads, sweeps, etc. I use a lot of meat-n-potatoes sounds like piano, Rhodes, clav, etc, and didn't care for the RS-9's renditions of any of these. Extremely hyped high- and low-end, and everything sounds like it's been smashed through a cheap dbx compressor. Come to think of it, that's the problem I have with many Roland synths (the JV and XV series, for one), but it seemed pretty egregious in the RS's.
