Okay, you might think this is lame and maybe it's a topic that some of you don't care about, but I'll go on. While I'm still young, I like to think about the dream home (or apartment) that I'm going to buy and being a piano player, I constantly think about what sort of grand I should get. Well guess who makes the most beautiful pianos in the world. No, not Steinway, Bosendorfer, Bechstein, Fazioli, not even Sauter. Just go to this website and check some of their models. I almost don't car about how they sound. I'm in love!

Any thoughts?

From the picture the only place it would look good in would be a trailer home.

You mean you would take a steinway or a bosendorfer over one of these things? http://www.musicplayer.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

To each his own I guess...

Owning a house is over rated anyways. There's plenty of overpasses to camp under.

Those are soooo cool! http://www.musicplayer.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

I don't play... but they sure are pretty!

These seem like Pianos for people who don't

play piano... show pieces for ecentric rich folk.

I wonder if they make Trombones.... http://www.musicplayer.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

Man.. they look like pianos made for an auto-show, or made to match some of those new "concept computers" that Intel sponsored. Jeez, these things even blow away that Yamaha Piano that had the dual lids and the integrated computer. they probably cost the same though..

I especially like "suspension" - it would be funny to teach people what a suspension is when playing piano on that thing!

man, those are AWESOME. The day I have money to throw around is the day I get one of those. I mean, they may not be steinway, but I bet they don't sound that bad....

Don't you hate it when your eyes decieve you from things that will help out your other senses? Like food that LOOKS good or movies with cool visuals? Even though I've never been guilty of actually BUYING a cd because it had a cool cover, I've sometimes looked at the track listings and got a little curious about the band. And don't you just love these new funky colored virtual analog synths? Haha

They actually had some of these at the Messe a few months back - I remember that Showmaster model. The funny thing is - I was intrigued by how it looked, but I wasn't really tempted to play it. Go figure...

They are pretty interesting looking pieces of equipment - not sure that I would ever have the courage to buy one, though.

I don't know why people say Steinways are expensive. When you buy one, it'll double in value in thirty years so it's a good investment (especially in these economic times). I'd just buy a vintage 6.5' Steinway grand, for like $12,000 (but you can find them cheaper), and spend $10,000 on it to have it completely restored (that includes shipping and Renner action). No that's not cheap, but when you think about it, Yamahas of the same size go for that much and they won't appreciate like a vintage Steinway.
