lrossmusic
Have been considering selling my Prophet V synth. I paid over three grand for it in 80 or 81. And believe me that was really a lot of bread back then. Wondering what it might be worth today? Also is it possible to add midi to it? I still love those fat warm analog sounds though so maybe I should hang on to it. ) http://www.mp3.com/lincolnross
Guest
Check: http://www.winecountrysequential.com/ They should have info on midi retrofits. Some prophet Vs can, some can't.. depends on the rev number. Check recent auctions at ebay. I've actually seen them go for anywhere between $400-$1600 depending on condition. The prophet hasn't seen as much interest from vintage enthusiasts as some of other have, such as the jupiter 8 and the juno 106. Plus the fact that the NI Pro52 soft synth (from what I heard) is a pretty damn close imitation of the original. Rod
