analogman1
Hello mates, How viable is it to use a laptop running NI's B-4 in a live situation??? What sort of In-Out (besides the MIDI interface) would I need to run audio out of the laptop?? What about latency?? Right now I'm using a Roland VK-7; however, I don't have an external leslie etc. So, rather than spend more $$$$ on more stuff,I'd rather put it into a laptop (and the B-4) software. Thanks-- Tom Tom Nord Electro 5D, Modal Cobalt 8, Yamaha upright piano, numerous plug-ins...
Gus Lozada
Hello there. I am using a Laptop PC running Native Instrument's REAKTOR and B4 in live situations and It is very stable. If your laptop computer is a PIII and your interface is USB, Latency will not be an issue. I am using TASCAM's US-428 and guess what: its 9 faders can control your B4's drawbars... a very cool thing. I am not actually a B3 lover, but B4 is an amazing program. Gus Lozada
Hello there. I am using a Laptop PC running Native Instrument's REAKTOR and B4 in live situations and both are very stable. Even while I am running at the same time SOUND FORGE to play a stereo master of my music... If your laptop computer is a PIII (or a good MaC) and your interface is USB, Latency will not be an issue. I am using TASCAM's US-428 and guess what: its 9 faders can control your B4's drawbars... a very cool thing. I am not actually a B3 lover, but B4 is an amazing program and it sound rocks ! http://www.musicplayer.com/ubb/biggrin.gif Regards: GusTraX@yahoo.com Músico, Productor, Ingeniero, Tecnólogo Senior Product Manager, América Latina y Caribe - PreSonus at Fender Musical Instruments Company Instagram: guslozada Facebook: Lozada - Música y Tecnología www.guslozada.com
