Ftwin Posted April 22, 2001 Share Posted April 22, 2001 I need to learn how to trigger acoustic drums for midi. Does anyone know how to do this, and what kind of equipment should I need to buy? Hippie Posted April 22, 2001 Share Posted April 22, 2001 I do it the old fashioned way, I dump all the audio tracks to my computer, and trace or copy the audio drum tracks to be MIDI events and then trigger those off my drum machine. This is a very labor intensive way of doing it, (one hit at a time, and it takes forever) but it requires no additional hardware, and retains the original "feel". The triggers I have used in the past were not worth the hassle, they would trigger at the wrong instance, or not at all...... In two days, it won't matter.
