DPI On The Fly

Recommended Posts

This is an odd request - but is anyone out there using an older NEC monitor with a Macintosh - and if so, are you using the control panel called DPI On The Fly? This control panel basically allows you to control the screen resolution and refresh rate on the NEC monitor - and mine is corrupted and basically the only screen resolution I am getting on this monitor now is like 640x480 (Yikes!!!!!!!) Any help is appreciated. For my B&W G3 I have an old 20" NEC MultiSync 6FG connected, I had to get an adaptor from NEC to make it work but no special software is required. The standard control panel in OS 8.6 works just fine, I can select resolutions from there. /Mats

The monitor panel under OS 9 doesn't allow me to change resolutions - maybe I should try and find the control panel for monitors in an earlier version of the Mac OS and see if that works.
