Erant1
I'm about to purchase a rather large PT system, and I wanted two monitors. I'm being told that there are problems with dual monitors while using a Mac G4/450 or 500, and ProTools 24 MixPlus. Something about bus overflows, and the fact that I'll be using an expansion chassis...I'd appreciate any comments or advice. Thanks.
not Cereal
this issue is not as bad as it used to be. there are at least two video cards in the digi approved list that are supposed to work with a minimum of dae 9073 errors on a g4. check th digi conf page for more info. coaster blaclite studio www.mp3.com/xtac

ketone
AFAIK...the only certified Dual Monitor Video Card is the Appian Jeronimo 2000. Despite what ATI tell u ,the AGP port on the G4 Mac's can access dual CPU video cards.... Im waiting for Apple to announce the 18" LCD Studio Displays that have been rumored to ship soon. After this ,it will be a case of waiting 4 eva for the video card manufacturers to ship an AGP Dual Monitor card with Digital Connections to interface with the Apple LCD. Stay cool ketone
