Actually, it is normal for drives to have errors and it should be caught at the factory. Some mfrs. actually list the errors on the drive label. Having said that, coming out of the factory, the end user should not detect a new bad sector for a while - at least a year or more. The hard drive you have either is going bad already or the mfr did not QA it long enough. Either way, yes, you should return it. I just didn't want people to think there are perfect drives - the mfr. usually already marks bad the sectors they've discovered as bad so data will not be written on them.
