Ultravibe Posted August 30, 2002 Share Posted August 30, 2002 I just bought a Sennheiser (actually, an old Telefunken) 421 off of EBay. In good condition, but the connector to connect to the mic stand is very narrow in diameter. Anyone know of where to get an adapter for this, or is it something as old and outdated as the mic itself? fantasticsound Posted August 31, 2002 Share Posted August 31, 2002 I believe you'll find this connector matches the inserts that usually come with most mics' clips. The smaller diameter is a European standard. There are mic stands out there with this diameter, but they are difficult to find in the states. I'd check with Atlas America to see if they produce any and who in the states, if anybody, sells them. Don't forget to compare your adapter to an insert from a new mic. Happy Hunting!
