Steve Smith: Drum Set Technique/History of the U.S. Beat DVD-A Two-Disc Set.

My brother in law is a good solid drummer, he has perfect time, but his riffs and fills are seriously aged. He does not speak much english (french canadian) and I wanted to get him something that was instructive yet not to talky.

He always goes on about his stick control lessons in the late 70's.... I thought he needed a booster shot.

What do you folks think of think of this cd?

Good buy?

If Your bro-in-law doesn't speak much English he'll miss out on a bunch of the explanations, but the demonstrations are excellent. Just watching and listening to the drums on this DVD set should help out any drummer - regardless of language.

He flipped out! He loved the high hat workouts. Very appreciative. His son gave him some cool LP rack bongos as well. We played new years eve and he has already picked up some groovy new riffs.

Thanks all
