eh steve
I bought my son a decent Tama set for Christmas last year. The drums sound great but the cymbals were pretty much crap. anyhow he wanted new cymbals for Christmas this year. his instructor has Paistes set up on the studio kit so my boy is dead set on getting Paiste cymbals. I notice that guitar center is having this sale so I went up there today to see what I could get deal wise. Just thought Id pass this along if anyone was looking for a deal on some decent cymbals. Paiste 20 Sound Formula full ride $75. 15 Dimensions thin/heavy hi-hat $98. ($49 top- $49 bottom) 15 Dimensions thin crash $49. 11 Dimensions Power Splash $36. I also got 2 dw boom stands, a dw throne and 6 pair of sticks for another $90. http://www.homestarrunner.com/sbemail36.html
dejacky
i played a paiste 2002 18'' crash cymbal and imo, it didn't have that plosive power that I like compared to the sabian and similar zildjian models...
