Bass_Dumb Posted October 27, 2004 Share Posted October 27, 2004 I was wondering what difference the number of strands and kinds of snares makes on the sound of the snare drum. for instance, i want a focused, warm snare smack sound out of my snare. how many and what kind of snares would you recommend. obviously the drum its self comes into play, but lets focus on the snares. also, any interesting snare selections you've all experienced? thanks bass dumb Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
joeq Posted November 1, 2004 Share Posted November 1, 2004 I recently switched from "whatever" snares to the Pure Sound Blasters. big difference IMHO. Well worth the extra $$ considering you don't buy new snare wires every week there's a guy here who has posted some soundfiles comparing different snares.
