ss
What about the Doors in the early years. NO BASS.
I I mjrn
Bass is a sound, a range, not a particular instrument. Can't recall the Prince track's sound offhand (never considered it his best work) but the Doors definitely had bass on all their records & more often than not it was bass guitar along with Manzarek's lines. ss
Well, I ment no bass guitar but I did learn something new. I've always thought that it was only Ray laying down the bass lines on the keyboard and it never crossed my mind as to a bass guitarist being in the recording studio. What about when they played live?
I I mjrn
I've no idea if they used a bassist other than Manzarek live but the existence of guitar bassists on most of their records is well documented. & remember, bass can be provided by a varity of instruments.
