C_F_H_13
Well after 3 months in limbo, I'm finally returning to L.A. from Canada. The downside to this change of address is that I won't have access to my kit at all, so I'll be stuck with a pad for a good couple of months. This will give me plenty of time to work out some really bad habits and develop some actual technique. Here's 2 questions for you guys: 1. What books would you recommend for strictly the hands on a pad? I got stick control, but what else? 2. Can anyone recommend any REALLY GOOD drum teachers in the LA area? I'm looking for someone who can analyze my flaws (grip probably being a big one) and help me to fix them. Thanks guys,

djarrett
Try an old classic: Modern School for Snare Drum Morris Goldenberg (editing by Anthony J. Cirone) Just rereleased by Warner Bros. Also for some serious chop building (ala Drum Corps style): Savage Rudimental Workshop by Matt Savage also by Warner. Hope these offer help.
