SjoeK
I'd like to know what (if only looking at technique) is considered to be difficult drum-pieces? What, for instance, do you think of "32 ways to die" (sum41)? Or what other pieces do you really refer to as being difficult? So i can kind of compare my own skills with those of others... george costanza
Try anything by Mahavishnu Orchestra (Bill Cobham, drums) or Captain Beefheart (John French, Art Trip & others)!Frank Zappa also laid out some tough stuff.

alexclaber
Ah, Billy Cobham - my personal favourite. His first solo album Spectrum is mindblowing, great music as well as great drumming. He's got the technique and the feel. I'd love to hear get a drummer in my band who can nail all those grooves and fills. Alex Barefaced Ltd - ultra lightweight, high ouput, toneful bass cabs
coyote
An old friend of mine performed the Black Page at Town Hall in Manhattan a dozen years ago - just him and a xylophonist. Of course they did the "hard version" with all its statistical density; they didn't do the "easy, teenage New York version" They did a great job on it. Until I saw their platform; now I know I'm no more Libertarian than I am RepubliCrat or neoCON or Liberal or Socialist. This ain't no track meet; this is football.
