Christmas CD

I wanted to plug a Christmas CD (1998) that I played drums and percussion on.

It's For You He Came

Christmas Selections by Mark T. Bovee

This would be a great CD to add to your Christmas collection. It's built over a jazz trio (piano, bass, drums), with lot's of percussion, EWI and vocals on several tunes. Odd meter, swing, latin, pop, solo piano ... there's quite a variety. If you are looking for blistering chops ... this is NOT the CD for you. I just play the music, most of which are first takes with little or no overdubs. I used my GRETSCH kit on this one!

Anyway, if anyone is interested, I'm offering this CD for $10.00 with free shipping to only those of you here on the Drum Forum at MusicPlayer.com ... cause you are my buddies! ;) I have about one dozen left and they go for $12.98 plus shipping on the Drum Ring , so you'll save over $5.00 total.

Use this link to make a purchase (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover) and I'll ship them out within 24 hours.

If you would like to hear a cut and/or see the track list, you can go to Mark Bovee's web site at http://www.creativeivory.com/ifyhc.htm

MAKES A GREAT GIFT!!! http://baeproductions.net/images/emoticons/smilewinkgrin.gif

Felix...AHA...from Cleveland. Did you by any chance grow up watching "The Ghoul" on TV? He used to start his program with the "Who Stole The Kishka Polka"...

BTW...for those uninitiated...The Ghoul was a TV host for the absolute crappiest horror movies ever made. He had a lot of fun poking fun at the movies...blowing up a rubber frog with firecrackers...I believe he started out in Detroit, and moved to Cleveland. We're talking mid 70s timeframe here.

There was a battle of the bands every year in Chardon when I was growing up at the high school and every year we would all get smoked up and play it or go to it, whatever. It was a big deal for us kids.

Well the Ghoul was there one year and he actually signed my chest and T-shirt. All the kids loved him.

I remember watching his show when I was like 7 and "Attack of the Killer Shrews" was on...scared the bejezus out of me.

A real Clevelander would also remember "Superhost" and "Hoolihan and Big Chuck" now the "Big Chuck and Little John" show.
