captain54
I am looking to pick up a 2nd kit for the studio and possibly as a small road kit for small clubs.. there are a number of 5pc kits out there w/hardware....some even have cymbal packages but my suspicion is the cymbals are low grade at best...the kits I've listed are all within the $450 to $600 price range... any one with any thoughts on whether or not any these setups might be the way to go?? Pacific CX Series Yamaha Debut and Standard Series Tama Swingstar Series Pearl Forum Series Mapex Standard Series Ludwig Accent Sonor Stage Series thanx Peace
Cymbals
You may cause yourself more headaches with trying get by recording on a cheap drumset. It might be ok to use it for live, but use your nicer kit for recording, not the second, cheaper one. Just my 2 cents
captain54
good point.... I guess the reason for this post was to see if any of these budget kits might be able to hack it in a studio environment...This second kit is basically for a rehearsal space and banging out songs, but it would be a bonus to able to record on them too... felix stein
Find a used one you can live with... you could record with any of them if you ask me...just don't expect miracles...never know though. felix's band
