rlhubley
I have been on a "quest" to find the most versatile ride cymbal. I will not be buying any time too soon, but wonder what you guys think. I remember hearing a 21", or 22" K Custom Medium, and thinking, Wow, this sounds great for almost anything. I currently have a 20" Pre-Aged K Dry Light, 21" Platnium Rock Ride, 22" Earth Ride, and a 21" A Medium. I need versatility!!
ian1642605905
I have been very pleased with my 20" Sabian Pro Sonix! The variation in effect from the bell to edge of the cymbal is huge!I also like its pure tone without any conflicting overtones! On stage it is very cutting and clean! ian* ian*
djarrett
I have a 22" Sabian Power Bell Ride. It rocks ... (think Steve Smith and Journey). http://www.musicplayer.com/ubb/biggrin.gif But, it sounds like with 4 rides, you would be the most versatile drummer I know!! Gaddabout
I love all the K rides. I use a 20" K Dark Custom and have never felt I needed to change. Actually, I have Dark Customs all the way around, so maybe I'm just a relic who refuses to join the bright, splashy cymbal revolution. http://www.musicplayer.com/ubb/wink.gif
felix stein
But I would rather play two paiste rides if given a choice. felix's band
