WHen BunnyBass was active as a community and forum it also featured interviews with unconventional luthiers and ran weekly polls to vote between several basses - some of which are also "different". Creative bass designs and hotties! what more is there to this glorious world. haha You know, it REALLY blows me away how some people can take a block of wood and carve it into something really beautiful. A guitar player of mine from one of my previous bands, builds his guitars from scratch and has started up his company Illusion Guitars . But if computer speed or internet connection speed is such an issue, someone is doing something wrong. It is stupid to design sites AROUND Flash. It's a tool, not meant to be the central object of worship. The actual goal is to show one's work (and hopefully sell some?), not pay for the chops of some web designer or only sell to people with T1 connections. They are out of the ordinary, "wierd" if you will, and waaaayyyyy outside my aesthetic. And if I was on my dial-up at home, that site would be impossible... I post on a fair number of other forums and never have delays before pages display, or have a post just sitting in the hopper for a long while, or somehow posting twice on one click. I even re-discovered my old account at talkbass where the traffic is very heavy, and went on a posting spree there for a few days, and nary a double post or any unreasonable delay the entire time. . Tell him to ro-sham-bo his web designer. To many sites wanna have a TV commercial with virual blah blah. At least make a bypass for the Flintstone connect community!! I want to see his stuff. And I've seen some ugly instruments and never NEVER thought I would see the beauts at bunnybass. I think I might have taste afterall! Don't have a job you don't enjoy. I swear that has to be the bass that sat at the local music store here in Podunk for at least a good five years. Creative design, but I suppose it's an acquired taste.
