Steve Force
I remember someone mentioning Tower of Power The Warner Years CD here (or perhaps in another thread.) Haven't heard it for roughly 3 months now and needed my T.O.P. jones fix! So I put it in my CD player, turned the volume up to 11 and am presently groovin'. Good stuff! BBReBozo
I'm ten years late to the game but I just went out and bought Jeff Buckley's Grace last night. I put it in my CD player and sat, astonished, for the next 45 minutes or so. What a talent he was.

Fred TBP
Weekdays I'm listening through a Compaq iPod, sometimes through the built-in speakers, sometimes through a pair of Koss headphones, depending on whether or not I need to be able to hear the phone ring. Currently, I'm cycling mostly between 2 albums: - The Police: Every Breath You Take (The Singles) - Snake Pit (a.k.a. Slash's solo effort): Ain't Life Grand There's also a host of singles from Living Color, Kravitz, et. al. that I'm learning for a benefit in two weeks. Also some originals that are "works in progress". More on that when they're available for public consumption.
Steve Force
Now: Mike Stern These TImes Good listening for fellow Lowdowners since it features three different bassists: 1. Richard Bona 2. Will Lee 3. Vic Wooten Each bassist clearly helps define each track, IMO. Fred TBP
"Pornograffitti" (1990) by Extreme. (a.k.a. "Extreme II") Besides "Get The Funk Out", "More Than Words" and "Hole Hearted" there are a few other hidden gems. My CD still has this sticker "Parental Advisory - Explicit Lyrics" on the jewel case. Too bad the singer jumped ship to join Van Halen. Not the first time a singer demonstrated his lack of business sense (and probably not the last.) Having a Tequila or 12... Earlier Bush - 16 Stone.. I usually hit "random" on my 301 cd player and when/if something catches me, I continue the cd. I have to admit, that's one in my collection that I don't play often but for some reason it hit me today. You have to mix it up sometimes. Sabbath is a tried and true friend that I visit often.
