Now they dig at Bush and the Left equally. When your gig is political satire, and the gov't. is Rep. controlled, you are gonna have limited targets. Yet they still skewer the Dems pretty often. The show seems to thrive on hypocracy and stupidity, regardless of the perpetrator. Now, remember back when TDS didn't have a studio audience? That's fine, but at the end where they are all hugging and saying this land is out land, my cynical side says, "Yeah, you are both in it together and stealing the 'land' from the rest of us. what do you think? The show seems to thrive on hypocracy and stupidity, regardless of the perpetrator. i don't know man, lately it's been really left. did you catch the episode stephen colbert guest hosted? i almost threw my tv out the window. i won't comment on the jokes because it's debatable whether or not stewart himself is keeping out of it (as for pre-jon stewart, kilborne had the social awareness of a veal calf). but you can't deny that as the election gets closer the guests get more and more left. okay, so finding a right leaning celebrity is tough, heston, well heston isn't healthy and you can probably only put the rock on once, but on the strictly political side it's all left. would it kill these guys to balance out liberal commentators like jeanine garofolo, al franken and ralph nader with arianna huffington? she's a good interview and she's funny. and where's bob dole? steve forbes? the daily show is very left right now and i'm hoping that when the elections over it can get over it's fairly obvious agenda and get back to being entertaining.
