patrick_dont_fret
Funny you all were talking about this song...They(George and the P-Funk) played it later that night here in Memphis at the Beale St. MusicFest. It was a funky 2+ hour show that didn't stop. Flashlight and Atomic Dog were two of the more known songs they played, and someone (not Bootsy) played bass on it. That show was funky as I'll get out. And George's granddaughter Sativa came out and rapped on a song. Awesome show.

It does doesn't it?! These last two mornings I've been listening to James Brown - Foundations of Funk on my commute and I've gome into work feeling so cool! And earlier this week I had a nightmare with the trains and it took me about 2 hours to get home - normally I'd have been so angry but I had Jaco's first album with me which I hadn't listened to in months and his groove just had me grinning all the way! I try to diversify but the funk always draws me back... Alex Barefaced Ltd - ultra lightweight, high ouput, toneful bass cabs
