73 P Bass
I picked up Southern Culture on The Skids latest album, "Mojo Box", yesterday, and I can't stop listening to it. Hillbilly garage surfer music. Their bass player, Mary Huff, lays it down with a thick, yet delitefully punchy tone. I actually find myself dancing around to this disc (unfortunate, and ugly side effect of a great album!). Check it out. www.scots.com "Start listening to music!". -Jeremy C
Jode
YES!!! Southern Culture On The Skids kicks total ASS! What's not to love about reverb- and tremelo-drenched redneck trailer park surf-abilly? Mary Huff is one groovy bass player, not to mention being quite a dish in her pink bouffant and white go-go boots. I've seen them twice, and it's one of the best stage shows you'll ever see. They ask all the girls to come up on stage to toss fried chicken to the guys during "Eight Piece Box." It's sexy, I tell ya. Catch 'em if you can; you won't be disappointed.
