Coreyman
Hi there, i learned my trade as a sound and recording engineer by on the job experience. But still I think I may be missing a few basic things an engineer should know. Can anyone point me to a resourse or a link on this page that can 'reducate' me on the basic things that are found on every recording and mixing console whether analog or digital and their functions. Uh Clem
go to Mackie's WEB site and download a PDF manual for a 1604 or nearly any one of their mixers and that will give you the basics - short of a meter bridge - and the D8B even has that. DC
Seems like www.dancetech.com has some good basics of gear articles. Hands on is probably the best way to learn, but sometimes you can read about a method of doing things that will save you a load of time. -David http://www.garageband.com/artist/MichaelangelosMuse
Franknputer
As long as you're educating yourself, go to this part of the Shure website and check out their educational materials. Great, pro knowledge free for the taking. I think they are doing a really great service by providing this stuff. :thu:
