lab Gruppen

So's I was at a different practice place from my usual one the other night, and this was the rig I played through:

2 4x10 Epifani cabs

Aguilar pre

lab Gruppen power amp.

All told, as some of you might suspect, this was not a bad sounding rig, and it had a bit of punch as well. (This is what's called ironic understatement, folks.)

Man, did this thing rock! Here's my question...

Anybody have experience with these lab Gruppen amps? Did some online searching, but was curious about personal stories and such.

Can't remember the model #, but I had it on 4 and it was almost too loud for the room. That's when I turned it up... to 6. ;)

Peace,

FWIW, Lab Gruppen now owns Tannoy and some other mfct's. Over here in Sweden, their home base, Lab is known for reliability, consistency and great performance. And their gear is quite common here too, even though it is not exactly cheap stuff. Their R&D dpt. is known for keeping a dialog with real-world users.

I did not intend the above to sound like an ad, but I really think Lab rocks!

What do we want? Procrastination!

When do we want it? Later!

Yeah, I looked there too, but I wanted more of a user's take on their gear. Thanks to mats and m for the info.

Really, a sweet setup, and clean, clear, loud, and punchy power for sure.

Peace,
