Lyrics by Eric my bassist:

Untitled

A long time ago

When the sky was not so old

And the moon not yet so full of holes

My mind was clear

I was not always in a state of fear

I was full of life

Free of wicked spite

And whenever new day dawned

I was out and gone

Tell me where my sanity is

Now the sky is old

The moon in more full of holes

My mind is dazed and confused

The fear inside leaving me cold

Because a boy made Gods decision

In a senseless act

Now when every new day dawns

I am tired and too weary to go on

Tell me where his sanity is at

Song Number Two

Fury of the Beast

1st Verse:

There they were

Fiery eyes staring into mine

Gaze piercing all time

Trying to find a sign

Not this time

Chorus:

The fury of the beast

Anxiety always risin

A tale of promise

A tale of sorrow

A hope for tomorrow

A reason for grief and sorrow

2nd Verse:

It was one large fury

The beast was unleashed

Nowhere to run

Nowhere to hide from the bright sun

The blues felt at that moment were deep

Tears began to seep from the beast

Wiping them w/ his sleeve

Remembering the way things used to be

The way things were before.

Chorus:

The fury of the beast

Anxiety always risin

A tale of promise

A tale of sorrow

A hope for tomorrow

A reason for grief and sorrow

3rd Verse:

Not scared in the least

Felt like dyin but started cryin

Perhaps thats the scariest thing of all

He was able to stand tall

At the fury of the beast

Not a care in the least

For his fury he unleashed

I like the second one more...mostly because it seemed more shaped than the first& the chorus gave it some universal focus.

I'd say your tag line ("I'm 15...") says much of what I'd say; ther's a hint of deeper meaning & "message-ness" to the lyrics but, to me, they could stand a little more focus.

You must realize that what seems significant to each of us is often not so to the mass of people.

By "signifivcant" I'm not just referring to the lyric's subect but to the words & phrases that one might use to express the insights that one seeks to convey.

For example here, the phrase "...because a boy made God's decision in a senseless act..." is obviously meaningful to you but I have no idea what you actually mean.

Lot's of people can insinuate meaning into vague lyrics but you need to be able to find words or images that reach the listener (while avoiding cliches).
