robmix Posted August 16, 2001 Share Posted August 16, 2001 You should be able to find an Ampex ATR 1/2" for about $5000, then you might need to have a tech go over it for another $1000 or so. You could even find a 1/4" ATR and simply have it converted (1/2" headstack, guides and rollers). selloutrr Posted August 18, 2001 Author Share Posted August 18, 2001 thanks I just purchased an MCI jh100 2" 24 track it came out of brian adams studio the heads are 100% and it has 15 years of service records did i get a good deal buying it for $5000? it also came with an auto locator 4 reels 2 new/ 2 bulk erased ( no splice ) and some cables.
