Lee Flier Posted July 1, 2005 Share Posted July 1, 2005 If anybody who's into great old school rock'n'roll hasn't seen the Swedish band Soundtrack of our Lives yet, you really should! We had heard them quite a bit on Little Steven's show and had been wanting to see them live for awhile. Finally caught them last night. They were real troopers to do this club show, because they've been on tour opening for Robert Plant and they'd already done that gig, then headed over to this small club to do a second set! Anyhow... these guys are nuts! Really great songwriting, their guitar players are both awesome, the lead singer is really engaging and was wandering offstage dancing with audience members and such. Hard to really describe their sound, it's old school without being retro, and shows a really deep understanding of their influences while still having very much their own sound. Just the right combination of classic and quirky. Definitely check them out if you get the chance! I know Mats Olsson is a fan, thus the shout out.
