MalH
Just received a new Novation Impulse 61 to use as a top keyboard, but I'm unable to assign new MIDI control messages to either of the pedals. Is this is a limitation or is my unit faulty? If so, it seems a huge issue for what's otherwise a full feature MIDI controller.
vonnor
I just read the entire User Guide for the Novation Impulse. I did not see ANY mention of the MIDI implementation (defaults or otherwise) for the "Sustain" and "Volume" rear panel jacks. I can say however, from first-hand experience, that Novation tech support is very prompt and thorough in handling product tech questions. I addressed an oversight in the MIDI functionality of my Summit and not only did they respond quickly, they (not quickly) eventually updated their OS to somewhat accommodate my request. Good luck. ~ vonnor Quote Gear: Hardware: Nord Stage4, Korg Kronos 2, Novation Summit Software: Cantabile 3, Halion Sonic 3 and assorted VST plug-ins. MalH
Thanks - confirmed with tech support that it's not possible to change the assigmment for the pedals, which is very poor for a midi controller keyboard. It makes it impossible for me to use the sustain pedal to change the leslie speed on the YC88 organ which has a fixed CC#.
drawback
But you can control the YC rotor speed with the sustain pedal plugged into it. Quote ____________________________________ Rod Here for the gear.
