David R.
Icky chain store is blowing them out again. My rep from the music store I like can not come near the price, and also said Korg is discontinuing it. All the reviews are great, I'm thinking (at least for now) it can replace my trusty 1212 i/o and add some sounds and processing. Who is using them here? Would I be shooting myself for getting it if it is being discontinued? Anyone heard this? Where's the beef? -David R. -David R.
audioboy_dup1
I have one. In a Mac PPC. The tone wheel organs alone are worth the price. And if your connected via litepipe the sound is first rate. Make sure that you get the free V.20 upgrade. It gives you more Triton and Trinity sounds. At the "Ichy" blowout price you can't go wrong...love it.

Mr Darling
I'm considering retairing my 1212 as well. Even though I love it - I think it's time to move to 24bit. I am looking at the oasis, but not as much for the sound as for the extra efx. any other contests? ------------------ Visit http://www.DarlingNikkie.com/sounds for free MP3's Rotshtein Danny - Studio Engineer Jingles show-reel Visit DarlingNikkie.com To discover the sounds of "Darling Nikkie"(aka Jade 4U). . . . David R.
OK, I did it. The store has the initials GC, and I hated going in there. Sales 'dude' acted as if I was burdeoning him by asking for service. There were two left on the shelf in San Francisco, act fast if you want one. $499. Used to be over $2000. Can't install it right now, in the middle of a project and the last thing I want to do is spend a few days troubleshooting. Anyone know if I can install it in my mac 9600/350 (last open slot!) and still use the 1212? As in, using the synths/effects from the Oaysys and the I/O from the 1212 so I can finish the current gig? I just know I am opening a can of OMS/MIDI/FreeMIDI/Asprin/worms. Who is into comming over and troubleshooting? I got beer... -David R. -David R. Sergievsky
Good job. As for using it with the 1212, I'm not sure, probably depends on what app your using. With DP I can't use Oasys as an audio interface with my 2408mkII since you can only either select Asio or Mas, not both. But since they're both Asios...dunno, sorry. But it works real well as an audio card, so you could probably sell the 1212. Or take the ADAT output of the 1212, connect it to the input on the Oasys, and voila. I've also installed it in my PC and it ran successfully with Gigasampler(which was using an echo Gina card). All using version 2 BTW, so make sure you have that. Anyway, enjoy. I wish I was on that side of the pacific so i can get another one and have one in my Mac AND Pc. Cheers. Raul Raul
audioboy_dup1
FYI...You'll need Mac O.S. 8.5 or better to run Oasys V2.0. It should run in the last card slot...

They should fire the whole staff and start again. I used to go there to get a good deal on special deals and blow outs, but I usually need a few beers after I get out of the store The one up in Concord wasn't bad, though, I rather go to the extra distance. Has anyone use these things on a PC? With another audio card (I'm quite happy with mine) ? I used Cakewalk PA9 by the way. David R.
Damn. I'm downloading as much info as I can about it. I might have to forgo the traditional pitcher (or two) of friday night beer at Zeitgiest (local bar - bring your motorcycle) to go home and geek out on this thing. Audioboy, thanks, I know it will run in slot 6, just making a comment about using all 6 PCI slots. What will I do when upgrade time comes? Raul, check your local store, they might be able to do a transfer. So much geeking, so little time. -David R. -David R.

David R.
Installed it yesterday morning, had a client all day, got to play with it for a bit in the evening. Holly guacamole! First of all it blows away my old 1212 as an audio i/o. Night and day. I've just tested it using DP and Reason, and it kicks booty. I locked the ADATs/BRC to it right away. Easy install, I am used to trouble shooting for a few weeks to get things working. This was painless. The piano sounds are the best fake piano I have ever heard. There, I said it. I prefer to mic a real piano, but damn this card sounds good. Korg needs to find a way to keep these things on the market at a lower price. Can you tell that I like it? -David R. -David R.
