miden
Anyone here used one? If so, experiences? miden
I guess no-one. I'll try elsewhere Quote There is no luck - luck is simply the confluence of circumstance and co-incidence... Time is the final arbiter for all things
synthizen2
For use with BOSS products such as the EURUS GS-1 and Waza-Air, music apps on mobile devices, and anything that can receive CC messages via Bluetooth MIDI. I wonder how many keyboards support Bluetooth MIDI besides these BOSS products. Probably the reason for the slim response. stgermain
I was looking at one of these to potentially control Apps running on my iPad hosted by Camelot pro. It is going on my Christmas list, see if I have been a good boy this year. Quote Nord Stage 3 https://www.facebook.com/MisterSuperJuice/
miden
Thanks. I wonder how many keyboards support Bluetooth MIDI besides these BOSS products. Probably the reason for the slim response. Not sure I understand you here? Why do you need a keyboard with bluetooth? It connects to a keyboard via either a MIDI cable or USB....Bluetooth is just an option available for other situations, Quote There is no luck - luck is simply the confluence of circumstance and co-incidence... I wasn't really hopeful as they are pretty new. Quote There is no luck - luck is simply the confluence of circumstance and co-incidence... I figured if you wanted to go wired in the usual manner, you have a lot of cheaper options. I wasn't really hopeful as they are pretty new. Definitely super new. One of our favorite on-line retailers finally had it in stock and I ordered it on the spot. I'm hoping to complete my Bluetooth iPad rig with it. Probably sat in a shipping container off Long Beach for several weeks... :-) The EV-1-WL looks promising. It does MIDI OUT via 3.5mm jack in addition to Bluetooth MIDI. Hopefully, it follows the current 3.5mm pin-out convention. I have a few 3.5mm to 5-pin adapters in hand (Korg convention). So, it should wire-up to my 5-pin instruments, too. The USB-B device port is less versatile. Supposedly has some kind of low-latency fast mode although I smell the need for a Roland/Boss driver??? I downloaded its iPad app and yep, it supports separate, independent configuration of MIDI messages on Bluetooth BLE, USB and MIDI OUT. The two control switch ports have potential, e.g., making a sustain pedal/rotary speed foot switch wireless, too. pjd
I finally got the EV-1-WL and spent several days with it. I've posted a blog review: http://sandsoftwaresound.net/wire-less-part-3-boss-ev-1-wl-wireless-midi-expression-pedal/ Bottom line: It works although it doesn't seem to remember Bluetooth pairing. Yes, it has a relatively short throw, and yes, it works with USB and 5-pin MIDI, too. (5-pin adapter required.) It seems robust enough for gigs. Much smaller and lighter than my old FV-500L. EDIT: just read the review, very informative thanks again. Quote There is no luck - luck is simply the confluence of circumstance and co-incidence...
