GY Posted July 3, 2004 Share Posted July 3, 2004 This guy's a singer/songwriter that does it all solo. I knew of him from the Cherry Picker days, but I think his solo stuff is much better. I purchased two Steve Ward CDs after listening to samples at his site. If you like a retro pop sound, this guy's the ticket. I don't think you'd be disappointed. It's also a little bit country, Beatles, Simon Garfunkel, ELO. A little bit all over the map. Very well recorded and cleverly written & arranged by Steve himself. I thought he did it all solo, but there are other players (Al Perkins slide guitar), and some from Cherry Picker days. The mastering could be improved.
