Notes_Norton
Backstory: I'm submitting pictures to AdobeStock https://stock.adobe.com/contributor/210337243/Bob I'm having fun getting them approved and posting them. While scouting around the site, I see they sell Stock Audio files people can buy to use in blogs and audio/video presentations. Listening to a dozen or so I think "I can do that" so I ask how to submit files to them. The answer is that they don't accept submissions and produce them in-house So I'm wondering if anyone knows any stock audio sites where I could investigate selling some of my own. Does anybody do this? Or know of it? I did a google search, but If someone here has experience, it would be better. Anderton
There are sites like broadjam.com, but they're more into licensing. Maybe starting a stock audio site could make you bucks if Covid variants mess with your live act Quote Craig Anderton Educational site: http://www.craiganderton.org Music: http://www.youtube.com/thecraiganderton Twitter: http://www.twitter.com/craig_anderton
KuruPrionz
Notes, maybe\e if you start one like Craig suggests, I'll put some interesting stuff on there too. Anderton
I have a bunch of stuff as well, I've been removing lead lines and similar elements from songs to end up with stripped-down versions that work well for soundtracks. Seem to me the only real obstacle is cost of cloud storage for the files, but that's becoming less of an issue all the time. I get a Terabyte from Office for something like $8 a month. Crap, maybe I should do it. I'm not much for social media though, that's probably how you get it up and running. I guess I could join Gear Place now that it's not all nasty and degraded anymore... The Metapop crowd might dig some new clips too, who knows? Quote It took a chunk of my life to get here and I am still not sure where "here" is. Notes_Norton
Thanks. I don't want to start one though. The legal, management, website, promotion, etc. parts would probably be too time-consuming for me. I just want to do the 'art' part, not the 'biz' part.
